ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY
MADE WITH YOUR ENVIRONMENT IN MIND.
Formica Flooring is a natural product. Only fresh pine from ecological forest thinning operations is used to produce the high-density fiber core of the planks. All production is conducted under the strictest supervision and controls. The percentage of wood used in Formica Flooring is a consistent 80-85 percent. Absolutely no harmful substances such as halogen, chloride, PVC, PCB or dioxin are contained in Formica Flooring. With its use, Formica Flooring contributes to a natural and healthy room climate. It is in conformity with the highest health standards and is particularly recommended for people with dust allergies. After installation, scraps can be disposed of as ordinary house refuse.
Sustainable core
All of our laminate flooring designs contain a wood fiber core made with ecologically sustainable pine trees, allowing us to bring you the look and feel of exotic hardwoods without harming exotic or endangered species.
Efficient production
When Formica Flooring laminate floors are made, our efficient manufacturing process allows us to use almost every part of the tree.
No harsh chemicals needed
Formica Flooring requires very minimal maintenance and unlike hardwood, it will never need to be refinished. Regular sweeping and occasional damp mopping with our mild cleaning solution will keep your floor looking like new for years to come, with no need for harsh chemicals.
Simple installation
With our mechanical locking systems, Formica Flooring installs easily without the need for glue or nails. This simple installation process means fewer power tools are needed, which results in less energy use and less waste.
It’s here for the long haul
With warranties ranging from 20 years to lifetime, Formica Flooring is more durable than carpet or hardwood and won’t have to be replaced nearly as often. This long lifespan results in less waste at the landfill.
Low VOC Inks
The decorative paper layer used in Formica Flooring is printed with water-based, low VOC inks, which are safer for consumers and the environment.
Responsible Packaging
Formica Flooring cartons are made from recycled cardboard.
GREENGUARD
Formica Flooring is now GREENGUARD certified. Simply put, GREENGUARD Certification ensures that our product has met some of the world’s most rigorous and comprehensive standards for low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). This is important because as the demand for healthy, sustainable products continues to expand, consumers and building industry professionals increasingly demand substantiation of product sustainability claims and rely on trustworthy third-party certifiers to guide purchasing and specification decisions. Formica Flooring’s GREENGUARD Certification means we are providing the market with solutions for healthier indoor environments. Indoor air quality (IAQ) is closely tied to health, and is therefore recognized as an important concern in homes, schools, healthcare environments and commercial spaces. Volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions from building materials and furnishings is a major source of indoor air pollution. Our GREENGUARD Certification is widely regarded as the trusted standard for low-emitting products.
